My Phone Is Working

Yeah! I am now able to talk to people. It's been hard not speaking to my mum in the mornings, I think she was beginning to worry about me. It's so weird how little you appreciate the everyday things in your life until you don't have them. I never would have thought I would miss having a phone so much, but for me it's my link to my family and I have missed it so much. I'm sure in the next few days I'll rack up a huge phone bill ringing England and will wonder why I have a phone as it costs so much money!

8 Hours Till the Weekend!

I am soooooo happy it's Friday and that's all I have to say. By the way our phone stubbornly refuses to work so we can't make or receive calls.

Auntie Adele

I may not be pregnant but there really is no need to despair, not only will we probably try at the end of this year, but I also get to be honourary Auntie to whole load of new babies. Plus I'm sure that my babysitting skills will come in useful for a few more months.

How do you stop your husband from wanting a baby? No I didn't borrow someone else's kids, my husband is much more materialistic than that, I bought him a projector. I am now confronted with life size celebrities on the walls of my house, but at least he's happy.

Outnumbered

It's official the pregnant ladies are taking over the world, I swear there is something in the water in Summerland, good job I don't drink it! First Amanda then Angella then Tianna and now Christy. I'm so happy for all you guys although you have made my home life somewhat uncomfortable as Craig keeps looking at me with this wistful look in his eyes and everytime the word baby or pregnant is mentioned he sighs oh so quietly. It's actually harder than you would think living with a husband who wants to impregnate you.

Me a Church Secretary?

I'm thinking of applying to cover Amanda's job while she's on maternity leave (can you tell I'm having a really bad day at work?) It's kind of a difficult decision though, I know that I want a new job as mine officially sucks at the moment, but I'm scared to apply for anything else. The job at the Church seems great, it's in town and I'm pretty good at administration and stuff but I'm scared that I'm not the right kind of person to do a job like that. I'll probably change my mind totally tomorrow but for now it's very tempting.

What is the best thing to do on a Sunday morning after church? For me today it's having your husband make lunch and then curl up on the couch together watching Grey's Anatomy season 1, aahhh bliss

Some of the photos are working now

Oour nephew Ben going upstairs when he knows he shouldn't be.
A blurry picture of the view from our front door
Two of my brothers kids Jamie and Emma
My sister's daughter Alex
Craig eating one of his favourite things in the world, a big breakfast on a flyer (it's pretty gross but tastes good)
The view of the church where we got married from our front window

Me after a great meal (and a little to much alcohol)

My photos are broken

I was ging to give everyone a photo tour of our time in England but the pictures won't download. Oh well at least I tried to blog!

Friday, March 17, 2006

It feels like a long time since I sat down to blog, mainly because I've been so busy this week. It's been tough going back to work after 3 weeks off then coming home and doing all the housework etc. We've also been viewing houses twice this week so that's been difficult too, especially as there is nothing that we like that's affordable at the moment. I'm sure I'll make time to blog again when I'm back into my routine but for now it feels more like a chore than a pleasure so I probably wouldn't write anything interesting anyway.

The House Is Sold

We got home from England and the house we wanted was sold sob!! However Craig is undeterred and so we're on our way to drive past two more properties that have gone up for sale in Faulder, failing that we'll just build next door to Dustin and Christy and start a commune. It's amazing how eager I am to have a home of my own.

We're Home

Yes we made it back through immigration and are home. I can't tell you how nice it was to sleep in our own bed again. Anyway this is just a quick one as we've lots to do today, including catching up on 3 weeks worth of blogs.

Busy Days

We're having a great time over here in England, although we've both got stinking colds. It's been a hectic time so far and shows no sign of getting any better. We're on our way out for a meal with my sister and brother-in-law in a minute which will be fun. I don't think I've got a moment to myself until we fly back on Thursday. It's been fantastic seeing my nieces and nephews and the rest of the family, we miss Canada so God made it snow HARD today so we'd feel more at home. I'm really happy that the sale of the house is going through nicely although we need to pray that there are no problems and that all the paperwork is completed as soon as possible. Anyway I've got to go my stomach is calling. Sorry it's so short and written terribly but I'm in a bit of a rush. See you all real soon.
